These Policies & Terms define the scope, limitations, and governing standards of services provided by Ink & Ledger, LLC. They establish clear engagement boundaries, payment structure, client responsibilities, and limitations of liability.<\/p>

1. Scope of Services<\/h4>

Ink & Ledger, LLC provides structured bookkeeping support and operational administrative support to U.S.-based trades and service businesses.<\/p>

All services are defined exclusively by a written Engagement Agreement executed after completion of a Fit Assessment.<\/p>

Ink & Ledger does not<\/strong> provide:<\/p>

  • Tax filing or tax advisory services<\/p><\/li>

  • Legal advice or legal representation<\/p><\/li>

  • Fiduciary services<\/p><\/li>

  • Signing authority on behalf of clients<\/p><\/li>

  • Executive decision-making authority<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

    Clients remain fully responsible for tax compliance, legal compliance, financial decisions, and business operations.<\/p>

    2. Engagement Structure<\/h4>

    All engagements begin with a Fit Assessment to determine alignment, scope, and availability.<\/p>

    Services are provided under one of the following structures:<\/p>

    Retainer Engagements<\/h5>

    Ongoing, scope-defined services delivered under a fixed monthly retainer.<\/p>

    Scoped One-Time Projects<\/h5>

    Approved, clearly defined projects such as bookkeeping cleanup or catch-up work. These are limited in scope and documented in writing prior to commencement.<\/p>

    No services are provided without a signed Engagement Agreement.<\/p>

    3. Payment Terms<\/h4>

    Payment terms, billing cycles, and invoicing procedures are governed by the signed Engagement Agreement.<\/p>

    Retainers reserve professional capacity and administrative allocation within Ink & Ledger\u2019s limited-client model.<\/p>

    Failure to remit payment in accordance with the Engagement Agreement may result in suspension or termination of services.<\/p>

    4. Refund & Cancellation Policy<\/h4>

    Retainer Engagements<\/h5>

    • Retainers are non-refundable.<\/p><\/li>

    • Retainers reserve professional capacity, time allocation, and administrative resources.<\/p><\/li>

    • Early termination does not create entitlement to partial or full refunds.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

      Scoped One-Time Projects<\/h5>

      • A deposit may be required prior to commencement.<\/p><\/li>

      • Deposits become non-refundable once work begins.<\/p><\/li>

      • Work performed is billable regardless of project completion status.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

        This structure reflects standard professional services practice and ensures operational stability within a limited-client model.<\/p>

        5. Client Responsibilities<\/h4>

        Clients agree to:<\/p>

        • Provide accurate, complete, and timely financial and operational information<\/p><\/li>

        • Maintain responsibility for tax filings and legal compliance<\/p><\/li>

        • Retain a CPA or tax professional as appropriate<\/p><\/li>

        • Make all final financial and operational decisions<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

          Ink & Ledger relies on client-provided information and is not responsible for errors, omissions, or misrepresentations supplied by the client.<\/p>

          Clients remain responsible for review and approval of all financial records, filings, and business decisions.<\/p>

          6. Limitation of Liability<\/h5>

          Ink & Ledger provides structured administrative support and bookkeeping support services only.<\/p>

          No guarantee of financial performance, profitability, regulatory outcomes, or business results is expressed or implied.<\/p>

          To the fullest extent permitted by law:<\/p>

          • Liability is limited to the amount paid for services during the preceding service period as defined in the Engagement Agreement.<\/p><\/li>

          • Ink & Ledger is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including but not limited to lost profits, business interruption, or regulatory penalties.<\/p><\/li><\/ul>

            7. Confidentiality<\/h5>

            Ink & Ledger maintains reasonable administrative safeguards to protect client information.<\/p>

            Client information will not be shared outside the scope of services without authorization, except as required by law.<\/p>

            Ink & Ledger does not assume fiduciary responsibility over client funds, accounts, or decision-making authority.<\/p>

            8. Modifications<\/h5>

            Policies may be updated periodically to reflect operational or regulatory changes. The most current version will be posted on this website.<\/p>
